Review

Microsoft Flight Simulator is a flight simulator developed by Microsoft for its Windows operating system . It is the most used one among the few civil flight simulators of user level that exist presently, in part thanks to the general notions on aviation, in spite of the criticisms to the model of flight made by the communities of virtual air pilots. Flight Simulator is one of the most used ones worldwide, highly appreciated by enthusiastic amateurs, professional pilots, apprentices or newcomers. With its instructor and classes of flight, you can be initiated in the basic know-how on how to steer an airplane. It also contains a detailed meteorology system, a system of failures of the airplane and a 3D cabin almost complete, with the gadgets of a basic airplane. There is a great community for the Microsoft Flight Simulator, in part because of the structure of flight simulator that permits numerous modifications to be introduced. Also, there are many virtual companies, where the pilots can perform their tasks as virtual pilots, like in an air company. Flight Simulator 2004: A century of flight, also known as FS9, freed itself with many historic airplanes like the Wright Flyer, Ford Tri-Motor and the Douglas DC-3 to commemorate the 100 anniversary of the Brothers Wright's first flight . It included an improved weather engine which permits the users to discharge real time information from weather stations, allowing the flight simulator to be synchronized with the real world.
Advantages
  • Many historic airplanes
  • Great synchro with real world weather stations
Disadvantages
  • None

I transferred several aircraft from the Microsoft Professional 2000 edition to my current 2002 Microsoft Flight Sim. I have sucessfully transferred the Concorde . I have made several attempts to transfer the Beechcraft plane but the guages will show. I can fliy the plane but with out instruments. The instrument panel appears with out any controls. Hopefully you offer some solutions for this problem.
I don't know if this is connected to my problem but the small radio panels don not work for the smaller planes. The knobs will not extend out and I can't enter any numbers . The numbers showing can be high lighted but can't be chnaged.

Please offer some suggestions that could solve this problem.

most of the panels are configured with XML formats only 2004 and up aircraft are compatable with this version. X has its own beech FSX checks for correct aircraft, you should be able to correct the radio problems by adding the xml for the radios to your aircraft.cfg the same as what the default aircraft use. I just copy and paste the panel.cfg on originals to aircraft mods for those that do not load correctly
